At Eshmun AI, we’re constantly pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with artificial intelligence in the energy and transport sectors. By applying deep reinforcement learning (DRL), we’ve helped major players increase efficiency and reduce emissions. In two fundamental case studies, we’ve showcased how our AI-driven solutions can revolutionise load and capacity factors across industries, bringing us closer to a sustainable future.

One of our breakthroughs came from the aviation industry, where we implemented a deep reinforcement learning scheduling tool. The results were transformative: we achieved a 70% increase in load factors and an impressive 55% decrease in CO2 emissions per passenger kilometre. Our AI agent improved operational efficiency and sustainability by optimising real-time flight schedules and adjusting to passenger demand dynamically. This success highlights how AI can optimise complex systems and drastically reduce environmental impact—a vision we aim to bring to the energy sector as well.


Another standout case study is our work with a major renewable energy player. We developed a DRL tool for managing yaw and pitch controls on their wind turbines. Our solution significantly improved capacity factors by continuously learning and optimising the turbines’ positioning relative to wind conditions, maximising energy output. The breakthrough was combining DRL and control theory to meet OEM's warranty clauses. While we are excited about the potential for future collaborations with this partner, commercial confidentiality limits what we can share here. Nonetheless, this project underscores the power of AI in driving efficiency gains in renewable energy and innovation in clean energy.
